Interviews typically last about 15 minutes, which would explain the many lack-luster people employed there. I have never understood how someone can really get a good, solid feel for another person in only 15 minutes. I believe most anyone can b.s. their way through an interview that only lasts for that short amount of time. They will ask many generic interview questions. Why do you want to work for Half Price Books? What are your goals for the next six months? What kind of books do you like to read? The interview is super easy. There will most likely be one or two mathematics questions involving percentages (what is ten percent of one hundred, or twenty percent of fifty dollars?), they will ask how you are with alphabetization, etc. Honestly, if you have even a quarter of a brain, you should be able to ace an interview with this company. Unfortunately, the standards for working in this company are pretty low.
