The interviews were fairly easy, and everything went well, but I got rejected based on vibes. The process is pretty thorough and focuses on every aspect of being a software engineer, not only technical bits.

Question 1
Tell me of a difficult interpersonal issue you had at work and how you handled it.
The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HeliosX Group (London, England) in Feb 2024
Interview
I recently interviewed for a role and was thoroughly impressed with the structured and efficient interview process. From the very beginning, the screening call laid out a clear roadmap of what to expect, which really helped me prepare.
The process included three stages: a conversation with the Engineering VP, a technical interview, and a values/culture fit interview. After each interview, I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I received feedback. My recruiter, Nicole, was exceptional throughout the process. She was proactive in checking in after each stage and always provided updates within a day, letting me know whether I had moved forward.
Overall, it was a positive experience, the clear communication and quick feedback was a massive contributor to that.

Question 1
Describe a time where you had to deliver tough feedback ?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HeliosX Group in Aug 2024
Interview
Had a first call with a recruiter who asked some basic questions about past experiences and then got invited for a technical round with one of their leads where I got asked questions around turning a monolith application into a microservices based one and usual questions about favourite project I have worked on etc.
Despite replying exhaustively to every question I got asked, I got rejected. It was pretty weird as the feedback I received sounded quite positive and apparently the interviewer was "happy with my replies", so receiving a rejection was surprising.
