Highspot Software Engineer interview questions

I first got connected through my University's career fair. Then I had a couple phone screens with a recruiter and manager. Next was a coding exercise followed by an onsite. I talked with 4 engineers. The onsite was a mix of whiteboard coding, technical discussions, and talk about Highspot in general. Overall everyone was very nice and helpful. It was one of the better interview experiences I've had and got me excited about Highspot.

Contacted by a 3rd party recruiter. He was super nice and helpful. Had phone interview with hiring manager. Next step was an on-site interview where first two hours were technical. Hiring manager had a few very audible rude noises and sighs when learning I had not worked with something specific in my professional career, even though he knew my experience. Made comparisons to questions I was unsure of, to things I had worked on. Questions asked were not really practical. Asked a sorting question in jQuery/JS, but seriously who sorts things on the front end, why wouldn't you use a .sort() function built into any language, and why wouldn't you sort when reading from the db??
