Invite to face to face group interview.
At the face to face after the group interviews, EVERYONE was offered a one on one. I was one of the first to go in for the one on one. I was sure everything was going well. I felt prepared and confident. Immediately after my one on one, I'm talking two minutes after (and before the rest of the applicants were interviewed) I was taken around a corner where others could hear. I was told, "Unfortunately, we're not going to move ahead in the process with you, this time, please reapply in six months." I was shocked but stayed composed. I honestly thought I was being tested to see my reaction to bad news. I was not given any other feed back on how to improve my chances or what I did wrong. I asked if that was six months from the date I applied or six months from today and she was not sure. She said she'd get back to me via email, but I never received it.
In the group, I was a big part if not the leader. I had brought a notepad and wrote down our information for the presentation. The one thing I did regret was that during that assignment we were given three things to talk about and had four people in the group. I, therefore, made a quick introduction and allowed the three others to present each of the three required topics. Maybe I should not have relied on the interviewers to have taken notice of my roll and claimed a bigger piece of the presentation.
I guess I'll never know, but I'm not giving up. Failure is a stepping stone to success, and I have another interview for a bigger airline coming up. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have interviewed with Horizon and will use what I have learned to excel in my future.
