I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot (Dublin, Dublin) in Oct 2016
Interview
First interview went really well and I got wonderful feedback. It was quite an informal chat but still had structured questions. I felt that I was in a really strong position going into the second interview and liked that the recruiter added that I was able to contact him with any questions.
The second interview was rushed, more clinical, and I felt that the interviewer was totally disengaged. Although the feedback was prompt, I felt that there was a stark contrast between the happy-go-lucky tone of the initial emails and the cold, computer-automated template email I received telling me that I had been unsuccessful. It's a pity that they didn't put any time into providing comprehensive feedback on why they weren't proceeding with my application, given that they seem to care so much about people, culture, and good communication. Just shows that they'll only extend warm messages until they want to discard you to find a more suitable candidate.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. While it sounds like your initial interaction with us went well, we missed the mark on the rest of your experience. If you'd like to have a follow up conversation with our team in Dublin to get more comprehensive feedback on why you didn't move forward, please email me at beckym at hubspot dot com and I'll connect you with the appropriate person. Again, sorry we fell short here. -Becky

I interviewed at HubSpot (New York, NY) in Feb 2024
Interview
I first met with HR, then the hiring manager and then the director. It was pretty normal interview they tried to gauge how well you can sell. As long as you prepare and come with good questions you shouldn’t have a problem.
Great! Very transparent and upfront about expectations - Were responsive and offered feedback sessions after interviews as well. Felt well prepared for the different rounds. They had a mix of behavioral and role plays

Interview
Long Interview process. Expect 6 stages with manager interviews, role plays, culture interview, team interviews. Would highly recommend asking your interviewer questions at the end to show engagement, roadmap to success in role and commitment to win.
