After applying orginally online for the particular communication industry position, it took several weeks to receive an email back from human resources. This email was to inform me that I was selected as a potential candidate for the position. Several weeks went by an I receive another email, stating to schedule time for a phone interview. After phone intervew was scheduled, I waited about another week. I was contacted by a recruiter, who, in standard fashion, asked me a series of questions, both behavior and situational-based, to determine my qualifications for the position. This was followed the next week by an additional phone interview, which provided more specialization-type qustions into the particlar position I was a candidate for. Once passing this phase, I was selected to interview with a hiring manager. Incorrect information was given as far as exact location and time of interview, which would of proven costly for positive results without doing my homework on the company ( note: it is always important to varify information and research the company because if you don't know your potential employeer, why would they want to know/do business with you?). After being cross-interviewed during the same day by supervisor in the department of which I was applying for, I was told I would be contacted by email or phone if I was selected for the position. I was contacted by phone 8 days later regarding selection and training, being informed that I was only selected for training for the position and if I did not pass training, I would not qualify for the actual position. Various background checks, involving local and federal authories, were performed, and a rigorous training of 6 weeks began. At the completion of 2 week intervals, I performed various test to qualfy for the next session. Only at appropriate completion of of a certain point system awared for the last test, was I awaded the position. The levels of difficulty and specifics for the process were not detailed or explained durng any process of the position.
