I had my first phone screening on a Tuesday, and it was a very pleasant experience. The interviewer asked questions about my resume, explained the role, and shared some information about the company. By the end of the call, he scheduled me for a second interview that same week. On Thursday, I spoke with the second interviewer, but he didn’t seem as interested or upbeat. I answered his questions with enthusiasm, and he asked if I was comfortable with the role, hours, and location. He then told me that I would be scheduled to meet with the hiring manager, indicating I had passed his interview as well.
The weekend came and still no word by Monday. By Thursday, I still hadn’t received any updates, so I sent a follow-up email expressing my interest and excitement to hear back. Unfortunately, I didn’t even receive a courtesy response—no update, not even a notification if the position had been filled. It was disappointing since, from what I understood, they liked me, and I had the skills needed to progress to the final round. Overall, it was a frustrating experience. The recruiting team dropped the ball.
