Applied via the website. Went through multiple phone interviews. Took a test and was asked to come into the office for an all day interview. Mutually decided it was a bad fit. The processes they use at ICE are antiquated. They are aware they do not use modern practices, such as having an entire company division dedicated to manually testing only. They could not describe any particular industry best practices they use, such as code reviews and unit testing. They are severely risk adverse due to the nature of their business and it stifles innovation, and growth. They are certainly one of the few companies that have this particular problem space, so it makes many of the positions and the work they do rather unique, which can be a good or bad thing depending on the person who wants to work at ICE.
