The process took 2 days. I interviewed at JCPenney in Sep 2011
Interview
First the manager thought I was over qualified for the position and asked how would he know if he gives me a job and I will quit soon. Which I thought it was unprofessional for him to say that. Well I had to explain that the reason I was looking for this kind of job is because the company is very flexible with schedule and I was looking for a part time so I could focus in school.

Question 1
How do I know that you r not going to quit soon? You are over qualified for this job
It was overall easy. I was contacted over the phone to set up the interview. It was informal and relaxed. Hiring manager went over some standard questions. Discussed availability, salary
was simple and quick, not many questions were asked, it was a group interview where we helped each other builds blocks and keep it from falling down. The manager was watching us use teamwork together to understand if we all fit into their team environment.

I applied online. I interviewed at JCPenney (Houston, TX) in May 2019
Interview
Very easy and simple. Just answer questions with common sense. They ask several “what would you do in this situation” questions and they are pretty straightforward. Not hard at all.
