Interview
They called about a month after I applied. Did a phone interview & was asked to do a group interview a week later...Walk in to the break room. Very small room. There were supposed to be 5 of us but 1 didn't show. We got a sheet that had 2 choices & had to choose 1 to present to the group. Group had to choose one as a whole. We got a department & had to pretend like we already worked there and the manager pretended to be a customer. Then went back to the break room. 3 of us returned & they offered the 3 of us a job. Lasted 2 hours, mostly waiting. No one-on-one interview.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at JCPenney (Tempe, AZ)
Interview
It was in a very professional and comfortable setting in the store. And it was conducted with the store and salon manager at that location. Both of the managers were kind and professional.
It was a group interview which led to an individual interview with a supervisor. If you pass the first round you have a higher chance of getting hired on for a position
Interview process went smoothly. Asked behavioral questions and situational questions that catered to how you deal with a variety of customer personalities. Also asked about previous employment roles. Offered a job on the first interview.
