I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at John Hancock (Boston, MA) in Aug 2015
Interview
3 rounds, simple case questions and focus on previous experience. They are more focused on specific questions in each round. In round, it is more behavioural and situation based questions. They will try to put forward odd cases from real experience. Next two rounds are more focused on technical and analytical skills.

I applied online. I interviewed at John Hancock in Oct 2024
Interview
Very quick and transparent. Simple behavioral questions and didnt have anything technical. Super nice staff, and lets you know how you did once the interview is over. Overall it was a super easy experience and would recommend to all.
I applied online. I interviewed at John Hancock in Apr 2017
Interview
Submitted my application online on Sunday, received an email two days later to schedule a phone interview. Then had a second round phone interview two days after that. Both interviews were mostly behavioral questions, with a few basic finance questions (active vs passive management, etc.). I was told I would hear within a few days if I had made it to the final round. However, I never heard back - I followed up with the recruiter as well as the interviewer and never received a response. Obviously I did not get the position, but I'm not sure why they couldn't at least email me to let me know.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review and provide feedback. We are sorry to hear your negative comments around your experience and we are sharing these internally. If you wish to follow up further, please feel free to reach out to us at TalentAcquisition@jhancock.com.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at John Hancock (Boston, MA) in Nov 2016
Interview
Two round, first a phone interview followed by a meeting with the hiring manager. The phone interview was just a screening, nothing too difficult. The in person interview went very well, the 2 gentlemen I met with were very friendly and made it feel very casual.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Mostly behavioral and asked about my background and prior work experience. Seemed more interested in personality than technical skills most likely because my role did not involve too much data analysis it was more qualitative.
