It's a multi-step process. First you send in an application, then you record yourself teaching a couple sample problems. If you get past that stage you have a technical interview in which you prepare 4 questions (there might be overlap with the questions you already taught), and then role play with the interviewer to see how interactive your teaching is and how you respond to difficult students/wrong answers/etc. After each question "session," they asked me what I did well and what I could improve on. In that interview they'll also ask you some more general interview questions, hypothetical situations, that sort of thing. If you get past that stage you will be interviewed by someone who oversees your district. This is a pretty standard interview (why do you want to work for Kaplan, what makes a good teacher, your strengths and weaknesses, etc.)
