A recruiter contacted me and I had a phone interview within a few days. The phone interview was less than 30 minutes. I interviewed with a director. She asked me questions about my background and experience. I was asked to provide an example of a specific project I had led from concept to completion. From there she asked several follow up questions, including what problem I was trying to solve in the organization, how did I create my project plan, what software I used, how did I keep my stakeholders informed, what measurements did I use to evaluate progress and success, and what results for the business I achieved. I found the interview to be difficult because I was asked for so much detail, but I understand their desire to be thorough. I was asked if I would be comfortable sharing examples of previous work including project gantt charts, value stream maps, fish diagrams and statistical reports.
She spent several minutes talking to me about their culture and their values. I wish I had the time to ask more questions, but overall the conversation went well and I hope to get a call back because I want to work here!
