      I interviewed at Kforce

      Interview

I had high hopes for this company after my initial conversations—things seemed to be going well, and I genuinely felt like there was mutual interest. However, the experience took a disappointing and unprofessional turn when I was asked during the interview whether I had children, and if so, how old they were. This is an inappropriate and legally questionable line of questioning in a hiring process. Not only is it irrelevant to my qualifications or ability to perform the job, but it also raises serious concerns about bias and company culture. Employers should be evaluating candidates based on their skills, experience, and potential—not on personal family details. Unfortunately, this interaction made me question the company’s understanding of fair hiring practices and workplace inclusivity. I hope they reconsider how they approach interviews in the future, because asking such questions not only alienates qualified candidates but also reflects poorly on their professionalism.
