I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) in Dec 2022
Interview
Short call with HR surrounding salary expectations, etc. Virtual interview with two peers. The team seemed unambitious, and the role seemed comfortable. The questions were basic competency questions, but mostly situtational questions. I got the impression that they were seeking someone like them (i.e. not meritocratic), as many questions had a value judgement. I would say that no matter how well you perform in interviews, you will need to 'be' like the interviewers at LSEG.

Question 1
Why LSEG? What do you know about LSEG? Have you used LSEG products? What challenges do you see for LSEG? Tell me a time when you've dealt with a difficult colleague. Tell me a time when you've led a team. Mostly situation questions - e.g. If X happened, what would you do?

Interview
HR replied to my application and asked for availability and their calendar was fully booked. I booked the first slot and had a really good chat with them.
Later on I realised that wasn’t even a round of interview. He then sent the CVs to hiring manager to shortlist candidates and I wasn’t shortlisted. Why is my time less valuable than the hiring manager and I spent an hr talking to someone who has no re at my selection??
It took 2 weeks to get notified by an automated email that I wasn’t selected.
