‘What are the forces acting on a structure?’
There were also questions related to codebooks. Since I chose steel structures, they asked me, ‘Which is the codebook you use?’ These were fundamental but important topics, and I answered them confidently.
Later, the other interviewer asked more technical questions, such as, ‘What is a pile foundation?’ and ‘What is self-compacting concrete?’
Towards the end, they gave me one minute to speak on a specific topic they allotted. For me, the topic was nuclear power plants. I summarized the concept, its importance, and its role in energy production.
Overall, I feel the interview went well. The questions tested both my technical knowledge and communication skills. Now, I’m looking forward to their feedback.”
