After Leaf Home blew my phone up for days repeatedly asking me to confirm our "important" interview, I was astounded when their interview Rep was unable to show up on time. Instead, he called me later on as I was preparing for my next interview.
The Service Installer "Job" is more of a scam than the $300/day opportunity advertised.
Red Flags:
- You not only need to use your own tools/truck, but you will likely need to purchase specific tools out of your own pocket. Their preferred ladders will cost you around $800 if you don't own them already.
- You need to carry general liability insurance up to $1 million. This will cost you $500-$1,000 annually.
Compensation:
- "Training" = hanging gutters onsite for ZERO pay.
- Once trained, you will only receive $30 per job if the repair takes you 3 hours or less.
- If the repair takes more than 3 hours you are then paid for the additional linear foot of gutter you repair after the 3 hour mark. Gutters you never got paid to install in the first place.
- You do not get paid for driving hours back and forth between "jobs". They only compensate you .30 cents per mile, just for the honor of making $10/hour.
CONCLUSION:
Leaf Home is not a serious company and this "Service Installer" scam is 100% a recipe for financial ruin. I would not take a "job" with them, nor would I ever recommend their ridiculous gutter service.
Don't waste your time interviewing with them.
