I had a good phone screen with the recruiting department. Learned a bit about the role, company and culture, and was eager to chat with a member of the team to get a deeper understanding. However, that second phone call was one of the worst interviews I've ever had. I learned very little about the position from our conversion. At some point, I started getting one word answers to very important questions: please describe the culture (good), what's a typical day in your role like (busy, email), what do you find the most challenging about the job, etc. It seemed that the interviewer wasn't even listening, because when I asked him to describe his role and he responded with 'are you asking me what our product does? ' No. No I did not. Waste of time.
