I then had an interview with him, where he explained what the Company did, and what my role would be, and compensation expectations. I applied in-person. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at MassMutual (Walnut Creek, CA) in Apr 2023
Interview
It was a pleasant experience. I was jobhunting for quite a while. COVID and post-COVID created a highly intense job market. I was at a job fair, and decided to move forward with the interview.
HR recruiter was very nice, bubbly, and she answered a lot of questions with detail about different specs.
Later on, the hiring manager later became my supervisor. He was also very nice.
The interview questions were standard: "tell me about yourself" and "what do you look to gain from working with us."
after a few phone calls and 2 zoom interviews, I was in.
It felt more like vibe-checking.
They told me licenses and education will be reimbursed after I get accepted.
There is a contract phase where you are given 30 days to try out the job and meet a quota. If you feel comfortable, you can accept the full-time role. If not, no ties, no harm. (But the reimbursement will be out of your pocket).
