I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at MassMutual (Springfield, MA) in Nov 2021
Interview
I applied on the website and answered the screening questions via text.
About a week later I was invited to interview with the hiring manager. It was a discussion about my background, conflict resolution, task prioritization and general work priorities of the team.
2 weeks later I was invited to several interviews with members of the team. These were pretty straightforward discussions about the day to day of the team, challenges, how my background applies to the position, etc.
Immediately after that I had another interview with the hiring manager to discuss any questions I had based on what I learned from the team.
Finally we scheduled an interview with the director a week after that. Similar to the prior interviews, however she approached the typical interview questions uniquely and in an open-ended in a way that prompted me to give different answers, which was refreshing after a lot of interviewing and answering the same questions. The discussion was focused on higher level priorities of the department and where the organization was going.
About 2 weeks later I received a call from the recruiter telling me I was not selected. It's difficult to invest hours into interviewing only to not be selected, but I wanted to post here to give credit to the recruiter for the personal touch.
A lot of large companies are sending automated rejection emails to interviewees, and the personal call with some feedback after someone invests that much interest into your company is refreshing and will ensure that I consider applying to MassMutual in the future.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at MassMutual (Boston, MA) in Oct 2014
Interview
Sent an email to the recruiter enquiring about the position. Got a reply for asking to interview in a couple of days. the interview was fairly easy. Got an offer a week after the interview
