I went through a hiring process where I successfully completed the first round and received positive feedback from the team. Isabel Pupo Wiss, the hiring manager, requested my references after the first round, which seemed like a positive indication. However, to my surprise, I received a rejection email shortly after providing the references. The rejection cited that my "background didn’t align," which felt contradictory given that I had already been advanced in the process and my references were requested.
The lack of detailed feedback and transparency in the process was disappointing and unprofessional. It’s frustrating when candidates invest their time and effort, only to be left in the dark about why they were not selected. This approach not only affected my morale but also wasted valuable time.
Additionally, It felt as though candidates were being filtered out unfairly rather than being assessed based on their actual skills and suitability.
Overall, the experience was demoralizing, and the lack of communication and clarity from Isabel and the team reflected poorly on their hiring practices. I hope they reconsider their approach to candidate engagement and provide more constructive feedback to future applicants.
