Numerous rounds of interviews with team members, plus VP and SVP, including a take-home case study. Position was advertised as remote and discussed with remote reporting structure through full process.
Recruiter gave me a verbal offer on the phone and shared the compensation structure that we had negotiated days earlier, stating that the offer was coming the next day. I quit my job the next day with the intention of accepting the offer, then the recruiter ghosted me through the day - finally sheepishly apologizing because the SVP pulled the offer that morning, claiming that they required a move to Texas and would no longer support remote work .
They absolutely put me in a terrible position employment-wise and would NEVER recommend going through a recruiting cycle with them.
