      Recruiting Coordinator Interview

      Jun 7, 2018
      Anonymous employee
      San Francisco, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Metromile (San Francisco, CA) in May 2018

      Interview

I had a phone screen with a recruiter and was brought in later to the San Francisco office where I met with two recruiters and the VP of People Operations. It was a very pleasant experience and I felt as though they took time to understand my answers and were very attentive. The interviewers made me feel very comfortable and seemed well prepared.

      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Metromile

      Interview

I was contacted by the sourcer for the initial phone screen and then brought onsite the next week. I met with 2 recruiters and the VP of People. I felt like the interview panel was unprepared. They didn't know what questions to ask me. As recruiters, you're talking to candidates every day, they should know what questions to ask me... I didn't have very engaging conversations. One of the recruiters kept stroking his hair and beard which was a little disgusting and distracting. I received a call from another sourcer the next week letting me know they moved forward with someone else with more experience. I have over a year of experience. Good luck finding someone with more experience who is willing to be an RC on a team that has no structure.

      Recruiting Coordinator Interview

      Apr 25, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Metromile (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2018

      Interview

Initial phone screen with the Sourcer, followed up by an onsite meeting with two recruiters and the VP of People. Standard interview questions pertaining the role and your skills and experience, and had a good conversation with everyone. Ultimately didn't get the position as an automated message was sent saying they moved forward with other candidates but I found out later that they had reposted the job listing so I don't think this was the right memo to send to your candidate. I would have appreciated a rejection email stating I wasn't the right candidate instead if the company was going to continue their search.
