I applied online. I interviewed at Michaels (Brewster, NY)
Interview
First I had to wait around for the interviewer for quite some time after the scheduled appointment. Then the interview was a whole boatload of questions nearly identical to the ones in the online app. Took about an hour. Halfway through the interview I started getting the feeling that this wasn't the place for me - based on the people working and the overall atmosphere of the store.

Question 1
As I said, they were all pretty much the same questions as on the application. The interview seemed like a total waste of time.
describe a challenging moment in your career and how you reacted to it. I said one time i had a conflict with someone and then we were able to resolve it.
I applied online. I interviewed at Michaels (Toronto, ON) in Oct 2025
Interview
Done over the phone, just a simple phone screening talking with the Store Manager. It was fairly short, only around 15-20 minutes. The manager asked about experience on my resume, as well as my availability.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Michaels (Sequim, WA) in Oct 2025
Interview
Easy. I walked in the store to ask if they had any job openings, and the manager interviewed me on the spot, and offered me a job. I submitted an application afterwards.
