For a company that prides itself on being "humble and helpful" and all the other so called values it emphasizes, these certainly were not embodied by the technical recruiter I spoke to on the phone. It wasn't so much the questions she asked (why Mindbody, what do you know about us, etc.) but the way that she asked them. The recruiter came across as incredibly Type A personality - impatient, abrupt with seemingly no regard for how she was representing herself or for how she represented the company. Granted, she had a job to do and had to get through a list of screening questions, but for a company that is apparently so purpose driven and compassionate, I expected the recruiter to be a bit more cordial and personable rather than possessing the demeanor and tone of someone who is folding her arms demanding to be impressed. At the end of the call, she didn't bother answering any questions I had and told me I could just find the information on their website.
Thank you for your review. This is good info to share with all the recruiters. Your experience is important to us and a good reminder that even on our off days it's important to think of that first impression! We encourage you to please not let that stop you from applying again if MINDBODY truly is the place you want to be.
