I applied through college or university. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Mount Sinai Health System
Interview
I applied online through my university career site. They got back to me pretty quickly for an in-person interview. I met 2 supervisors during the time. They were very nice, but the interviews were really rushed. I went in again a few weeks later for a 2nd interview with the person whose position I would take over. Then, after a week, I was told to come in to meet with the physician who would be working closely with the role. Then, they called and told me they were interested in continuing with the hiring process. I submitted 5 references. After this whole process, I was told they went with a different candidate. It was a bit of a long and winded process, especially as I went through so many stages of the process and still did not receive the offer. However, I think they were very nice, communicative, and thorough.

Interview
Hiring process depends on your team, but 1:1 screening call with the hiring manager and on-site back-to-back panel interview with the rest of the team. The panels included a peer culture fit interview and interview with physicians you'd be working with.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Introduce yourself and how do you handle multiple communication styles.
There were 2 steps to the process:
step 1: direct manager questions about experience, projects etc, why you're interested
step 2: direct manager and colleague questions about experience, projects etc
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Mount Sinai Health System (New York, NY) in Mar 2025
Interview
Smooth! 1:1 with the manager and panel interview with the team which is more back to back. You meet with everyone and answer more peer culture fit questions and may meet the Director.
