Had a disappointing recruiting process. Recruiters will act friendly in the beginning but it's just fake and they don't actually mean it when they say to reach out. Despite multiple rounds of interviews and speaking to nearly 10 people, ghosting is the norm here. I was told many times I would be hearing back soon but recruiters will just ignore you and pass their own deadlines with no follow up or feedback whatsoever for weeks/months. Hiring managers will also ignore you. During my first interview with the hiring managers, they showed up late and asked me weird questions that had nothing to do with the role and they seemed so disinterested. After months, I got a generic rejection and they ended up hiring someone less qualified who was friends with the recruiter. Salaries are low here and the company seems to be struggling anyway so maybe it was for the best.
The recruiter ghosted me after saying they'd get back to me the following week. I followed up three times and got no answer. It's completely OK to not have gotten the job, but ghosting candidates shows a lack of respect and professionalism.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Newell Brands (Boca Raton, FL)
Interview
Initial interview with HR and panel interview afterwards whole process took about two weeks. Got asked different interview questions by the panel comprised of more senior team members. Got asked questions like what makes a brand great.
