Interview
I had the initial interview via Microsoft Teams. It was very brief and I did not learn much about the position. I managed to move on to the final round. Here I met the team members and the head of the department. I was informed I was not chosen for the position. A week or so later the hiring manager reached out to me to inform me that circumstances had changed and they’d like to offer me the position. I was elated. The HR contact I had was nearly impossible to get ahold of. I inquired to see if there was room for change in the pay. Days later I received a correspondence from the HR contact that they’d like to setup a Teams meeting to go over things. The meeting was with the HR contact and their boss. I was then informed that due to internal problems the offer would be revoked. No detailed explanation was given even after questioning. I then received an apology call from the hiring manager.
