The recruiter contacted me the same day as the employee referral. After initial recruiter phone screening and hiring manager phone interview, onsite interview was arranged with executives and key leaders on the team. Due to my personal travel conflict, the recruiter rushed through the scheduling for me to be onsite the day before my trip departure.
After the onsite, additional executive team member had a follow-on phone interview which was more awareness generation for me, as the executive really wanted to make sure I understood the key attributes and expectations for the position. They also highlighted how critical the position was in creating and shaping the key program Okta wanted to put in place.
After the offer was presented, I debated about staying put or joining Okta, the recruiter immediately mobilized the employee who referred me, and the hiring manager (VP) after hour to further advocate about the growth prospect of the company and how much they wanted me to get onboard. Oka was also flexible with my start date so that I could wrap up existing work engagements.
I joined Okta 5 weeks after the offer. I feel it has been a very good decision.
