I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Pax8 (Bristol, England) in Apr 2025
Interview
The interview process started off fine. I had a quick call, followed by a discussion call, and then pencilled in a first-stage interview and an overview over the phone. The day came and we had and there was a slight delay, which made some of it difficult, but we went into depth in regards to my background, design processes and creative thinking, which I thought was thorough and went into depths which were honestly new to me, which was quite refreshing!
Not long after that I got a call with feedback that I would not be proceeding forward as apparently they could not get a connection with me which I found really strange as we had covered a lot of the questions and also listening back to the interview call which I recorded, I don't understand how this determination was made. It felt not genuine and almost like an excuse pulled out of the air, which I must say, especially listening back to the call itself, is quite insulting.. When I emailed and asked them to elaborate, it was ignored."
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with our interview process. We’re glad to hear that you found parts of the conversation engaging and appreciated the depth of discussion around your background and creative thinking. That’s exactly the kind of dialogue we aim to foster.
We’re sorry to hear that the outcome and communication around it felt unclear. While we strive to ensure every candidate receives thoughtful and transparent feedback, sometimes volume of applications and our systems work against us (we're fixing that!) but we do recognize there’s always room to improve how we communicate decisions—especially when they don’t align with a an expectation.
Your feedback is valuable and has been shared with our team as part of our ongoing efforts to refine and improve the candidate experience. We appreciate your perspective and wish you all the best in your future opportunities.
