first got a take home project to finish in one week, but some information to search a company; then interview with manager and talk with a teamate, lastly interview with CEO.
I had one initial phone interview with a recruiter and one video interview with the hiring manager. In both cases the interviewer was over 10 minutes late to join our scheduled meeting. In my second interview with the hiring manager he was quick to tell me that they were already much further along in the process with another candidate and made it obvious that it was unlikely that I would advance in the hiring process because of that. Because of this and the vague unrelated questions the interviewer asked me, for the rest of the interview I felt like I was not seriously being considered for the position. If they knew they were not going with me before starting the interview then I wish they would have just not had the follow up interview at all and not wasted my time.
First of all, I am very sorry that you did not have a positive experience with PitchBook. We aim to have an amazing candidate experience, so anything less than that is disappointing. I will definitely look into this situation. Thank you for your transparency, and again I apologize for your experience.
