This was an interview before the acquisition of mindbody/class pass by playlist.
The interview structure could have been good but it required acting on the part of the interviewers, and it was one of the strangest experiences I have ever had. Interviewers were stilted running the script and didn’t know how, in that context, to switch between the role and the interviewer.
The VP focused on experiences from 15 years ago, asking oddly specific questions completely irrelevant to the job interview.
Suggestions for the recruiting team, if you are still running the role plays, stop. Only keep the exercise where you review a design doc. That was valuable.
