The recruiter called me, asked me some basic questions and then we scheduled a call with someone on the team.
Then the someone on the team called me. The dude never looked at my Resume. I have extensive 8 years of experience building scalable services and big data systems in variety of languages including Java, Python and Scala. The guy asks me about abstract classes vs interfaces (seriously??? this is insulting). Then he asks me about Microsoft SQL server (did you ever look my my damn resume? I never mentioned a bit about SQL server). And he asked me some basic questions about Spark. Overall, he seemed to have no idea of how to interview and went all the way from Java basics to Spark basics.
And then of course, they rejected me. Were you interviewing for the sake of legal requirement or what?
For the questions you asked me, you don't deserved a Senior 8+ years experience candidate. Just find a fresh college grad and he can answer your questions.
Seriously, don't waste candidate's times if you cannot value them. And teach your people how to interview.
@PointClickCare - do not damn try to write a feedback to this review. I already responded to your recruiter and he was shameless enough to not respond back. Do not try to pretend here that you care about candidates by writing "oh blah blah... let us know and we will explain you the process, or ...we are very sorry to hear that......"
And anyone reading my review, do not trust anything that @PointClickCare writes here. Stay away from this place.
