      R&D Electronics Engineer Interview

      Feb 21, 2010
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Bethel, CT
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Procter & Gamble (Bethel, CT) in Jan 2010

      Interview

Initial online test followed by a phone screen. I was then flown up to Bethel, CT for a written test and day of interviews. Many of the interview questions were redundant. Procter and Gamble has such a rigid process for the interviewers to follow that the questionas are both unimaginative and predictable. HR was a bit inept. It took a few weeks to set an interview date. The hiring manager seemed very positive, but overall I got the impression the people were more about image and corporate ladder climbing than about actually making money and being productive. Also, prior to even being flown up, I was told the job paid 10% less than my current salary. During the interview, many of my accomplishments at my current organization were questioned. It seemed that for a large organization they were very cheap with salaries and were looking for ways to justify a low-ball offer.
