I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Publix (Naples, FL)
Interview
Applied in store, was called in for an interview a few days later. It was extremely easy. The store manager just asked my availability, if I was in school or had any schedule restrictions then described the company. That was all. After describing the company he told me I was hired, what I'd be paid and that I'd be hearing back soon to get started. He didn't go into detail about the position I applied for (and was hired for) though.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
No difficult questions, only asked about availability.
Relaxed one on one interview process. They want to know why want to work at Publix, how you will handle angry customers, and what your weekly shift availbility is. They prioritize candidates who can work busy retail hours, such as weekends, late evenings, and early mornings.
Get asked about yourself, your goals, how you approach providing premiere customer service. They also ask what you availability is like. I thought it would be more nerve racking than it was.
