A 3rd party recruiter contacted me. I met with the recruiter at their offices, and then they sent my information and resume over to QTS and arranged for an in-person interview at the QTS offices in Swanee the following week. Two different managers interviewed me (they were each looking to fill product manager roles). I was told they would be in-touch soon. A few days later I contacted the recruiter to see if he'd gotten any feedback (he hadn't yet, but said he'd call them). Later that evening I got an email saying they liked me a lot, but decided not to go any further.
Throughout the entire process I was repeatedly told that they only hire people as consultants with 6-month contracts to start. If they like you it's not uncommon to be offered a 12-month contract once the 6 months is up... and sometimes people are offered direct-hire positions (if they really like you). This is just the way they do things, and I was told it's not specific to this role.
Overall it's a cool company, and I liked the office environment and the people that I met with. After hearing from them directly that they only hire contractors at this time... i'm not surprised that the other reviews on this site report high turnover rates.
