Loved all the conversations I had so it is unfortunate that the recruiting experience was so poor. Had a first round interview with the hiring manager that went well and was invited to come onsite for half a day of interviews. Everyone I talked to was smart and had great things to say about the company. There was one interview that was a little strange in format; interviewer didn't ask me anything and the whole interview was supposed to be me asking questions, but I enjoyed all the conversations overall.
At the end of the onsite I was told that I would be hearing back shortly. I followed up with the recruiter afterwards with a thank you note, and then didn't hear back for another week. Reached out to the recruiter for an update and didn't even get a response. Received a generic automated rejection email THREE weeks later with some grammatical errors. It is fine to reject applicants, but after they've invested so much time into your recruiting process, I feel that they at least deserve to hear back in a reasonable time frame.
