I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at RH (Hagerstown, MD) in May 2014
Interview
I applied in store and received a call asking if I could come to the store for an interview. I was interviewed along with 2 other candidates by 4 managers. The environment was very relaxed and conversational. They were mostly just seeing if I could be friendly with customers and if I would get along with the other employees.
The interview process was easy going, easy to navigate and the people were delightful. The only issue was the low pay and the high turn over I have heard from speaking to store associates.
The interview was unstructured, as are most retail interviews (I have had several over the years), I had 2 back to back interviews, one with the assistant lead and then the store leader. Most of the questions were geared towards the company's "core values" People, Quality, Service, and Innovation and they are trying to gauge how you would fit into the store and if you would be a good employee.

Question 1
What does "Quality" (Innovation) (Service) (People) mean to you?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at RH (Westlake Village, CA) in Mar 2015
Interview
I had three before being offered the job. Each one was with a different manager and each interview was a little different in style based on the person. The first one done by the Store Manager (they have different titles but can't remember) felt more like a test. The second one, which would be my immediate manager was great, she is the reason I took the job. The last as the HR manager (for lack of her actual title) which was more about the philosophy of the company and do I fit into that. It took about 2-3 weeks before being offered the position.
