Initial phone screen, second round with a product member on the team (case studies and behavioral), then a 7-hour on-site in Seattle.
Interviewers were all extremely well-prepared and know what they're looking for. Something I appreciated about Remitly after interviewing for many start-ups and large corporations is that Remitly allows you to engage with the product/work during the interview, hence giving you a taste of how working on the job would feel like. Everyone was pleasant and patient in answering my questions and after a while, it felt more like a conversation than an interview. People are unafraid to have open conversations and everything was transparent. It seems like everyone at the firm has a strong sense of purpose and aren't looking for just another employee (ie. they're willing to hold out for the right person to come by and are truly looking for skills and fit).
The on-site is a bit longer compared to other tech companies like AMZN and MSFT, but it's not supposed to be intimidating. While it is a little draining, I can see why the process is what it is to find the best fit. Overall extremely professional and intelligent workforce!
