The recruiter contacted me and scheduled an initial phone screen. When I got to the call, they mentioned they actually had a different position that I would be a great fit for, but they didn't tell me anything about the role and just scheduled me for the second interview. Therefore, I went into the second interview only having the job description and knowing nothing more about the position. Meanwhile, the recruiter contacted me again and asked me to apply for the initial job I had already applied for. This is confusing since I already constantly communicated with the same recruiter and applied to that position. The recruiter was friendly, but the second interviewer was rude. Then, I got ghosted and have yet to hear from any of them, despite following up several times. This process needs to be more professional. You should reject interviewees respectfully and move on.
