The recruiter sent me an InMail last month and seemed super excited to speak with me regarding my background, yet he never followed up with setting up a time to speak. SO I followed up with this recruiter 2x to see if we could set up a time to meet.
We had a great conversation. He informed me I would be moving to the next step, and then nothing. Silence. So once again, I followed up with the Recruiter. His response, "Pardon, just got full confirmation an internal has been hired." It kind of makes you feel like you were just a # to add to their metrics/spreadsheet to submit to their Talent Manager.
A couple of days pass, and I receive an email from a Recruiting Coordinator asking if I had seen her previous email to set up an interview with the TA Manager for this same company. However, the Recruiting Coordinator's name is different, etc. So, I am thinking there must be another spot for me they have me in mind for on their team or another team. And so I set up the meeting, apologized for missing her email. Then the day of the interview, I see an email canceling the interview. This is so unprofessional—horrible candidate experience.
