I applied online. I interviewed at RingCentral (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2021
Interview
Per the process, it was evident that RingCentral wanted to increase their app downloads and registrations.
I applied online but recruiter also reached out to me on LinkedIN. I was told someone will reach to "setup my account" for further interview process. I had a 15 minutes call with the co-ordinator in which I was asked to share my screen, download the Glip app and register using the email address which I used to submit the application.
The co-ordinator also gave a helpful tip: "You can use this app, even after getting fired". I was taken aback by the choice of words. When I asked what did you mean by this, the co-ordinator simply changed the subject.
Not sure what they are doing but it looked like a scam and waste of my time.
It's quite lengthy process. It has three technical rounds on managerial round and One HR round. Technical round are quite good, deep into the programming knowledge and evaluating the SIP and IMS.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at RingCentral in Nov 2023
Interview
I interviewed for the Senior Software Engineer position at RingCentral. The interview was of medium difficulty, but I found the process to be somewhat unprofessional. There were a total of four rounds of interviews. Unexpectedly, a hiring manager round was scheduled without any prior notice or consideration of my availability. Despite completing all rounds, I never received any feedback on the outcome. Each time I attempted to follow up with the HR representative, I encountered delays and procrastination.
