I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Riot Games (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2022
Interview
I recommend reading the reviews, be prepared because they ghost you for weeks between interviews. If you're on a timeline, this company will make you WAIT and may reject you for an internal candidate.
I submitted an application and was contacted two weeks later. The recruiter was actually pretty nice and really try to sell the company and the culture. Communication can be improved however...
Two weeks+ later if they like you, you hear back about being scheduled for a behavioral interview with another program manager from a different team. This interview goes over company culture and leadership values.
Another 2-3 weeks later, you get scheduled for a Technical Interview with the hiring manager. They'll go over your program management methodologies and past projects.
Lastly, almost a month later, I got word that they decided to go for an internal candidate.
Overall, it wasn't a great experience being ghosted for this long. They seemed to have some turnover and backlog with their recruiting team, but I hope they put more value in their candidates and improve their response time for a better experience.

Question 1
What is the most surprising feedback you received from your team?
Received an email saying that they would like to proceed my application to the first interview stage. Submitted my preferred interview slot time and emailed back saying thank you and have selected the time slot. For the next few days, did not receive an interview invitation link.
On the day of the interview, followed up twice on the confirmation timing before the actual interview time. No response. Basically no interview link /instruction was being sent out. No idea what happened to the recruiter. So did not manage to get an interview.

No question was asked as there’s no interview being conducted.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Riot Games (Los Angeles, CA) in Feb 2017
Interview
Phone call with an internal recruiter. Phone call with a Manager. All day in-person interview at their office in West Los Angeles. Very difficult questions based on real-life scenarios. The interview was from 9AM to 4PM, and was with a total of 7 or 8 people. There was some down-time between a few of the interviews as employees were at meetings. During the interview they kept asking me if I wanted coffee, tea, etc. And they gave me a tour of the office which was great. Overall a positive experience as you can tell they really care about who they hire. They are looking for top notch talent. Even though I didn't get an offer I learned a lot through the experience. And learned a lot about how they operate. During the interview they would sneak in questions about their video game. If you didn't know the answer they would definitely notice.
