I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Riot Games (New York, NY) in Jan 2023
Interview
Interesting research prompts about the gaming industry with some actually fun problems to think through.
All interviewers were kind, knowledgeable, and happy to take extra time to answer questions. Some even prompted me to think differently about the questions, which ended up being an enjoyable collaborative experience.
The biggest negative was the amount of it took to get through the process. It took me 6 months from start to offer, and 3 months after my final interview loop. The recruiter was receptive to my check-ins every few weeks, and my impression was that if I had done poorly they would have cut me loose.

I interviewed at Riot Games (Los Angeles, CA)
Interview
A fairly long and drawn out process relative to other studios. Took multiple rounds and a panel, with multiple weeks in-between each round. I started another interview process, received an offer, and took another position inbetween a single round of interviews.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Riot Games (Los Angeles, CA) in Sep 2017
Interview
I applied online for a different position but based on my credentials was contacted regarding interviewing for this role. The interviewer probed deeper to get more meat out of the answers. I was nervous. We scheduled a follow-up post interview after my rejection so that I could learn from where I faltered. After that, I feel much better prepared for next time.
