I applied for a recruiter position at Robert Half after being contacted by their recruiter via LinkedIn and email. The process started off strong with a great phone screening, where the recruiter explained the next steps, including a video interview with the person I would report to if hired.
Unfortunately, the video interview was disappointing. The panelist appeared distracted, frequently looking around, which felt unprofessional. Despite this, I emailed my thanks to both the panelist and the recruiter, expressed my interest in the role, and was informed that the next step would involve an in-office meeting with the team.
After that, communication stopped completely. I followed up multiple times over the next three weeks and received no response. As a recruiter myself, I found this ghosting incredibly disappointing and unprofessional.
A simple rejection email would have sufficed, but the lack of basic communication reflects poorly on the company. Based on this experience, I would not recommend interviewing with Robert Half if this is how they treat candidates during the hiring process. Terrible candidate experience.
