At Rokt we are always looking for high quality talent at all levels as we are a fast growing organization. At Rokt we have a transparent and published career ladder for every level and every role in the organization. This means we do not spend time negotiating salaries or trying to fit a candidate into a set advertised role (like most companies), but rather during the interview process we are evaluating the candidate’s capabilities and assessing what level are they best suited for - one that sets them up for success. This is what happened during your interview process and is why you were offered a lower level role than you expected. It is also worth saying that this is not about cost savings as the average time to promote at Rokt is less than 12 months, but it is done to ensure that candidates have the right expectations and time so that they can succeed.
Separately, there were some changes to the team recruiting this role during the process which would have created the delay in responding. Also having an agency that had not had a lot of experience filling this type of role also creates some communication challenges.
