I applied online. I interviewed at Ross Stores (Richmond, VA) in Apr 2016
Interview
The manager was very friendly and laid back so the interview was very casual. He just asked a few basic questions and we talked for a little bit about what I would be doing, and about the hours which is only a maximum of 25 hours a week. Then I was offered the job right on the spot assuming my background check would come back good which it did.
The interview process at Ross Dress for Less consisted of meeting with a store manager to discuss my customer service experience, cash handling skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. I was asked situational questions about handling customers, teamwork, and resolving problems. The process was straightforward and focused on my availability, work ethic, and ability to support store operations
Fast and easy! They mainly asked about my previous work experiences and my availability. They also asked what great customer service is like to you and why I would be a good fit to the company.
I was interviewed over the phone and than asked to come in person. So I could meet the team and talk to them. It wasn't too hard but it was kind of a waste as I didn't get a call back.
