I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Ross Stores (New York, NY) in Nov 2019
Interview
I met the NYC college recruiter at my University's job fair and then interviewed with her on FaceTime for 30 minutes. The FaceTime interview questions were very behavioral and she did ask about Excel. A couple days later I received an email from the same recruiter and she invited me out to the NYC Buying Office for the second round of Interviews, travel and hotel room paid for courtesy of Ross. The NYC in person interview consisted of 3 different buyers each lasting about 30 minutes. Although these questions were behavioral as well, the interviewers really just wanted to get to know YOU and see if your personality would fit within their family/fun work environment. Everyone was so incredibly friendly and once we engaged in conversation, my nerves were no more. I sent Thank You emails the following day and then was offered the Internship 4 days later over the phone! My best advice is just be yourself and make sure you know your Resumè!

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Ross Stores
Interview
I went through and introduction interview, and was told that the main team lead was on vacation, but would go through formal interviews once they got back. I sent multiple emails in the coming month, even just to get an official NO. The job is still posted and I have never been contacted again.

Question 1
Why do you think you would be a good fit for this role?
The interview went ok but they never closed the loop with me/didn't tell me that they weren't going to proceed with me as a candidate. She asked me about the salary I wanted and seemed taken aback by what I asked for even though I don't think it was unreasonable.
