I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ross Stores (Lincoln, CA) in Jun 2015
Interview
They had called me in around a week and asked me to come in two days afterwards. I was brought over to the backroom and just asked a few simple questions that you usually expect from retail, what would you do if a customer was angry, what would you call suspicious behavior, how would you respond to suspicious behavior, just simple stuff.
The interview process at Ross Dress for Less consisted of meeting with a store manager to discuss my customer service experience, cash handling skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. I was asked situational questions about handling customers, teamwork, and resolving problems. The process was straightforward and focused on my availability, work ethic, and ability to support store operations
Fast and easy! They mainly asked about my previous work experiences and my availability. They also asked what great customer service is like to you and why I would be a good fit to the company.
I was interviewed over the phone and than asked to come in person. So I could meet the team and talk to them. It wasn't too hard but it was kind of a waste as I didn't get a call back.
