I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Ross Stores (Katy, TX) in Apr 2014
Interview
It was a panel of about 10 people and only a few of us were really 'involved' in it. The base pay for the position did not match what they told me on the phone and neither did the hours.
They didn't care about the answers to the questions, they just wanted warm bodies in the door. They asked ridiculous questions that had nothing to do with the job. Like what sort of clothes we like to buy.

Question 1
When we shop what sort of clothes do we like to buy?
The interview process at Ross Dress for Less consisted of meeting with a store manager to discuss my customer service experience, cash handling skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. I was asked situational questions about handling customers, teamwork, and resolving problems. The process was straightforward and focused on my availability, work ethic, and ability to support store operations
Fast and easy! They mainly asked about my previous work experiences and my availability. They also asked what great customer service is like to you and why I would be a good fit to the company.
I was interviewed over the phone and than asked to come in person. So I could meet the team and talk to them. It wasn't too hard but it was kind of a waste as I didn't get a call back.
